“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”
— Psalm 139:13
Be Still, Nourished & Known
Our bodies often carry the stresses and demands of everyday life. Through gentle practices informed by polyvagal and nervous-system principles, we create opportunities to slow down, notice what we are experiencing, and care for the bodies God has given us.
Alice may guide gentle somatic movement, stretching, mobility, rhythmic movement, and practices intended to support relaxation, circulation, lymphatic movement, and the body's natural vagal responses.
Everything is gentle and invitational. You are encouraged to listen to your body, participate at your own pace, and rest whenever needed.
These practices are not a way to reach God or create a spiritual experience. God is already present. We simply make room to become still, care for our bodies, and turn our attention toward Him.
Throughout our day, we gather around God's Word through Guided Scripture Meditation, reflection, journaling, conversation, and prayer.
There is space to share what is on your heart, listen to one another with compassion, and experience the gift of Christian sisterhood. We may pray together as a group or with another woman, carrying one another's burdens before God.
Those who desire personal prayer may also have an opportunity to receive prayer with a gentle laying on of hands, always with permission.
There is never pressure to disclose something personal, receive physical touch, or participate in a particular way. Come as you are.
Creative expression is woven into the retreat through journaling and a guided art experience, giving us another opportunity to slow down, reflect, and create.
Music is also woven throughout our day. Alice uses frame drum, bells, singing bowls, and other instruments alongside Scripture, prayer, singing, and worship. We may hum, sing familiar worship songs, become still, or gently move in worship.
We do not use the instruments for sound healing or as a source of spiritual power. They are simply instruments offered in worship. Our attention remains on Christ, His Word, and prayer.
As we settle into our day, enjoy a help-yourself light brunch with finger foods and simple dishes. Later, we will gather around the table for dinner together, with time for conversation, laughter, and connection.
Cup of Love cacao, water, coffee, and tea are included throughout the retreat. You are welcome to bring additional snacks or specialty foods for your personal needs.

Woven in the Womb isn't about becoming a more enlightened or perfected version of yourself.
It invites you to rest in the truth that your Creator already knows you.
To care for the body He has given you.
To open His Word.
To pray and worship.
To create and reflect.
To be heard and listen with compassion.
To laugh, eat, and gather with other women.
To become still enough to remember whose you are.
And when life feels as though it is unraveling, to remember that you are held by the God who first wove you together.
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
— Psalm 139:14
